Jonathan Bowlan was selected by the Royals in the 2nd round (58th overall) of the 2018 June Amateur Draft, and has begun his professional career this summer at Idaho Falls. A 6-6 right handed starting pitcher out of the University of Memphis, Bowlan comes from good baseball pedigree, as his Father Mark once threw a perfect game at Memphis and was drafted in the 19th round by the St. Louis Cardinals (1989). Bowlan recently joined Dave O to talk about the impact his Dad has had upon his baseball career, the 18 strikeout game against South Florida that serendipitously led to being selected by the Royals, developing a 4th pitch with Jeff Suppan, his hidden talent of juggling and lots more! Such a great young man! I’m a cardinals fan but will have to be a Royals fan now! Keep up the good work!
