Jorge Bonifacio

Jorge Bonifacio heads into the 2015 season as a Northwest Arkansas Natural and a consensus Top 10 Royals Prospect (#9 Baseball America, #10 Baseball Prospectus). Still just 21 years of age, the right fielder was originally signed by the Royals as a non-drafted free agent in December of 2009 out of the Dominican Republic, and is the younger brother of former Royal and current White Sox player Emilio Bonifacio. Jorge recently joined Dave O to talk about how close he is with Emilio, how fellow Royals minor leaguer Jack Lopez helped him learn English, what he wants to improve on most this year and much, much more! Ethan Chapman

Ethan Chapman was drafted by the Royals in the 30th round of the 2012 June Amateur Draft out of Cal State San Bernardino, where he was a teammate of fellow Royal Aaron Brooks. A left handed hitting speedy outfielder, Chapman has steadily moved up the Royals ranks after being named the 2012 Idaho Falls Player of the Year. Ethan is currently with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and recently joined Dave O to talk about growing up an Angels fan, meeting Rex Hudler in his younger years, the honor of being drafted by KC, the funny time he and his Idaho Falls teammates had their hotel reservations lost and ended up in a seedy situation and lots more! Alec Mills

Alec Mills was drafted by the Royals in the 22nd round of the 2012 June Amateur Draft out of the University of Tennessee-Martin, where he finished 5th in career appearances and strikeouts. A 6-4 righty and 23-year old starting pitcher, Mills will begin 2015 in Wilmington after finishing with a combined 2.35 ERA last season between Idaho Falls and Lexington.  Alec recently joined Dave O to talk about how he never planned to even play college baseball, the exciting story of how he found out he’d been drafted, going through Tommy John Surgery and much more! Andy Ferguson

Andy Ferguson was selected by the Royals in the 18th round of the 2011 June Amateur Draft out of Arkansas State University, where he studied Mathematics! Speaking of numbers, the 6-1 righty put up big ones in 2014 at Northwest Arkansas, finishing with a 2.93 ERA in 147.2 innings, to go along with a K/BB ratio of 118/41. Ferguson will return to Springdale to begin the 2015 season and recently caught up with Dave O to talk about being selected by the Royals, what “clicked” for him last year, where the worst smelling locker room in the minor leagues is and lots more! Angel Franco

Angel Franco was signed by the Royals as a non-drafted free agent on September 1st of 2006 out of Bani, Dominican Republic. A 5-10 switch hitting infielder, the 24-year-old was recently awarded KC’s Carlos Fortuna Award, which signifies dedication in improvement of English, work ethic and conduct. Franco joined Dave O to talk about how the Royals discovered him in the DR, the challenges that he and other Dominicans face in coming to the States, how excited he was during the 2014 World Series and lots more! Jeremy Guthrie

Heading into his final two starts of the 2014 season, Jeremy Guthrie needs to pitch just 9.2 innings to once again eclipse the 200 mark, the fifth time in his career he will accomplish such feat. Guthrie currently sits at 11-11 with a 4.35 ERA and recently caught up with Dave O for a completely random ADHD conversation about possible playoffs, favorite Nintendo games, collecting baseball cards, best MLB clubhouses, outside perceptions of Kansas City, dealing with negative comments on Twitter and lots more! Luke Hochevar

Luke Hochevar has been with the Kansas City organization since becoming the #1 overall pick in the 2006 June Amateur Draft out of the University of Tennessee. From 2007-2012,“Hoch” served as a starting pitcher in KC, before moving to the Royals bullpen in 2013 and becoming completely dominate (to the tune of a 1.92 ERA in 58 games). While Tommy John surgery has forced Hoch to miss the 2014 season, he continues to rehab and travel with the team. Luke recently joined Dave O from Detroit to talk about the pure excitement of the pennant race, how his rehab his coming along, how much he’d like to come back to the Royals in 2015 and lots more! Sam Selman

Sam Selman was selected by the Royals in the 2nd round of the 2012 draft out of Vanderbilt University and wasted no time in showing why, as the 6-3 lefty immediately won Pioneer League Pitcher of the Year. The Austin, Texas native originally began his career with KC as a starter but in 2014, has been moved to the bullpen with even greater success. In fact, Selman was one of six Royals recently named to the 2014 Arizona Fall League. Sam recently joined Dave O to talk about pitching in the College World Series, his times at various Royals minor league stops, his thoughts on pitching out of the bullpen, a potential future career in professional golf and lots more! Ali Williams

Ali Williams is just wrapping up a successful 2014 campaign with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals and for his efforts, has been named as one of six Royals to play in the Arizona Fall League. A 6-2 right hander, Kansas City selected Williams out of Charleston Southern in the 34th round of the 2011 draft as a closer with high upside. Kevin Kuntz

Kevin Kuntz is the son of Kansas City Royals first base coach Rusty Kuntz and currently serves as an infielder for KC’s Class A affiliate (the Lexington Legends).
