Tom Burgmeier pitched for the Royals from 1969-1973, appearing in 196 games with a 3.20 ERA and 28 saves. A 5-11 southpaw, “Burgy” spent parts of 17 seasons in the Big Leagues and was an All-Star with Boston in 1980. Overall, Burgmeier appeared in 745 games with the Angels, Royals, Twins, Red Sox and Athletics. After his career, Tom spent seventeen seasons in the Royals organization as a coach (for 22 total years as a Royal). He recently joined Dave O to talk at length about his times in KC, both as a player and a coach, as well as coming up with the Angels, being an All-Star with Boston and lots more!
