The Royals chose Chase Vallot with the 40th selection in Competitive Balance Round A of the 2014 draft and with that, received one of the most advanced high school bats in the country. Vallot, who played at St. Thomas More High School (La.), hit .545 with 13 home runs and 62 RBIs in 36 games this spring and with that, helped lead the Cougars to the state championship while being named the Gatorade Louisiana Player of the Year. Vallot joined Dave O from The Intercontinental Hotel in Kansas City, just hours after officially signing, to discuss his trip to Kansas City, what he knew about the Royals prior to the draft, what Royals fans can expect and much more!
