The Royals selected Eric Skoglund in the 3rd round of the 2014 draft out of the University of Central Florida. While with the Golden Knights, Skoglund was named American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year during the 2014 season, finishing 9-3 with a 2.54 ERA and 94 strikeouts in 110 innings. Skoglund, a 6-7 lefty, recently joined Dave O within hours of arriving in Surprise, Arizona to begin his professional career.
